Downtown Georgetown Holiday Open House

On Thursday, November 29 from 5 to 9pm you are invited to participate in a Holiday Open House. Many businesses will be open until 9pm on that evening, providing refreshments to the public.

This event will include:

Decorating for the holidays
Horse and Wagon Rides
Holiday Music
The sale of Downtown Dollars
Open House(s)

How Downtown Dollars Work: Downtown Dollars will be on sale from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, November 20. Downtown Dollars give shoppers a 20% discount when shopping in Downtown Georgetown! They are sold in increments of $10, with a minimum purchase of 5. Customers only pay $40 and receive $50 in Downtown Dollars. There is a maximum of $100 Downtown Dollars per household.

Downtown Dollars may be redeemed against the purchase of Goods and Services at Participating Downtown Businesses, to a maximum of $100 Downtown Dollars per purchase.

Downtown Dollars should be treated as cash and change should be given for good purchased with the Downtown Dollars, they cannot be redeemed for cash. Participating Businesses display a poster in their window to show their participation. Cheques will be written by the Georgetown BIA to reimburse the Downtown Dollars at the end of each month.
