The Artisans’ Attic is an artisan’s co-operative comprised of 9 local artists. It houses their original work, as well as that of more than 20 other dynamic artists and is in its 15th year. The abundance of skilled and beautiful work displayed at this store/gallery includes: functional and decorative pottery, weaving, basketry, jewellery, original paintings and limited edition prints, photography, stained glass, blown glass, papier mache, fibre arts, metal sculpture, wood-working and so much more.
The Artisan’s Attic at 73 Main Street South, Georgetown, is manned by the membership artists who can be seen working at their craft during store hours.

Moments in History
Built in 1870, #73 Main Street S. was part of Clark’s Hotel and was constructed as an addition to the existing hotel at the corner of Main and Mill Sts. The new building was constructed by Mr. Tost of Stewarttown at a cost of $5,000. This new portion was opened by a ball in early December of 1870. Stores included in the building over the years include J.A. Wilson Jewellery Store and R. Nixon’s Pharmacy.
