Sometimes, darker, coarse hair appears in areas we don’t like. Popular areas for woman are the bikini line, underarms, legs, upper lip, chin, breasts, neck and eyebrows. For men areas include the back, chest, beard and between eyebrows.

What is Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only proven method of permanent hair removal. This process should be performed by trained professionals only.
At Bare Image, treatment is performed using microscopic computerized epilation. A small electric current is sent through a fine wire filament, which is inserted into the hair follicle to permanently destroy the root.
Does it hurt
There is usually a tingling sensation during treatment. Tolerance levels vary from person to person in areas being treated. It is possible to treat most areas of the face and body.
What is Laser Hair Removal
Now there is a much faster and more effective way to permanently reduce unwanted hair. The LightSheer Diode Laser is the world’s most advanced treatment for the removal of unwanted hair. Clients claim laser hair removal to be faster, more reliable and more comfortable solution for the permanent reduction of unwanted hair.
A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. Different types of lasers produce different colours of light. The colour of the light produced by a particular laser is the key to it’s effect on hair follicles.
How does it work
The light emitted by the laser is absorbed by the pigment located in hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment, disabling several follicles at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair’s re-growth.
LightSheer’s special contact-cooling handpiece cools and protects the surrounding skin, while bringing the laser energy as close as possible to the hair root.
What can you expect
The LightSheer Diode Laser significantly reduces or eliminates discomfort and side effects, such as ingrown hairs, that may accompany other methods of hair removal. Because it is more efficient, laser hair removal sessions are both shorter and fewer in number. This results in saving both time and money for clients.
Sometimes individual stubborn hairs will be unaffected by the laser. This is due to a variety of factors including lack of colour pigment in certain hair follicles. Our Certified Electrologists can remove these hairs, making your treatment as effective as possible.
The length of a laser session may be a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area being treated. Because the laser tends to treat hair follicles that are in an active growth phase, more than one treatment may be required to disable hair follicles that subsequently enter this growth phase. However, the initial treatment will destroy the darkest, most active hairs.
Does it hurt
The laser treatment itself can cause a slight tingling sensation. Most patients tolerate the procedure well. But because some areas of the body are more sensitive than others, topical anesthetic is always available.
The appearance of the treated area immediately after a laser session will vary from patient to patient depending on the area and extent of the treatment. Immediate after-effects, if any are minor. They may includes redness and swelling, which disappear in a short time. Most people return to normal activity right away.
Is hair removal safe
For Electrolysis, all patrons are assured a presterilized disposable needle, sterilized forcep for each visit and each treatment is performed under aseptic conditions, including the use of disposable gloves for client/electrologist protection. This office paricipates in a verifiable sterilization program and uses sharp disposable waste containers.
The LightSheer Diode system is a precision medical instrument that has undergone extensive testing. With proper handling, it is a safe and reliable instrument. The precise laser parameters were carefully defined by studying the anatomy of the hair follicle and precisely matching the colour of the laser light and pulse duration to the size, depth and location of the hair follicle.
Former temporary hair removal methods should be suspended during the treatment period to permit the normal growth of hair. Shaving or cutting hair in between treatments is permitted.
