Moments in History
This building occupies Lot 2 of the Pratt (later Young & Barber) Survey. The lot was occupies by an extensive verada of theBennett House which burned down in the 1800’s. Another building is shown on the 1922/34 insurance map in this spot. In the 1870’s the building housed a furniture store. The new building housed Hourrington’s Pharmacy which was purchased by Mr. Young. Young’s Pharmacy operated from this site until it relocated to the Silver store on the other side of Main Street in 1992/3.
