Moments in History
The present building was built by Sam Mackenzie in the early 1950s for a Allan Norton. Originally intended to be a bowling alley but due to zoning by-laws was instead turned into an apartment complex – the first in Georgetown to be built as such. A bakery was run from this site before the Norton building. Past owners include Morris Kennedy, Elijah Travis, Mr. Kemshed and Allan Norton.
