Treatment consists of a unique method of Acupuncture and the success has been nothing short of amazing. For his revolutionary work and the success of The Ontario Migraine Clinic, founder Brendan Cleary Ph.D., D.Ac., was awarded the Star of Asia by The Open University of Complementary Medicine, in 2000, which is given to the person who most contributes to the field of Complementary Medicine. This is the first time that this award has been awarded to someone in North America.
People from countries around the world — including Italy, Afghanistan, Mexico and Great Britain— have come to Georgetown to be treated by acupuncturist Brendan Cleary Ph.D., D.Ac. at The Ontario Migraine Clinic.
Acupuncture is a form of eastern medicine that involves inserting fine, pin-like needles into specific points of the body for therapeutic purposes or to relieve pain.
Acupuncture stimulates your body to help itself. When Cleary set up his acupuncture practice 12 years ago, he treated a variety of ailments from high blood pressure to back pain. Word began to spread about the effectiveness of his migraine treatments and today between 75 and 80 per cent of his patients are there for migraine relief.

Moments in History
This is the location of the second brick house in Georgetown which was demolished in the early 1980’s. It was built by George Kennedy for his son. The building was later used as the Georgetown Police Headquarters. Kennedy’s own house stood on a lot just across the street.
