Downtown Georgetown Ontario - Your Treasure Awaits - Home

Downtown Georgetown Farmers’ Market

Saturday Mornings – 8:00am to 12:30pm
June 8th to October 19th
Every Saturday morning on Main Street the Downtown comes alive early with the sights and smells of the Farmers’ Market from 8am to 12:30pm. The roads are closed on Main Street South from James St. to Church St.

Please note: the East lane is empty because the Fire Department requires a Fire Lane for access to buildings and quick response routes. DO NOT BLOCK the lane for any reason or amount of time. You can be ticketed

June 8th kicks off the 20th Anniversary of our beloved Farmers’ Market and we’ll be doing it in style! Come out and celebrate with a beautiful Anniversary Cake donated by Victoria of Edible Delights (donations go to our local Bread Basket Food Bank), get your face painted by Karen of Cleo and her Painting Pals, have your photo taken at our photo booth (on June 15th onward, sorry!) and enter to win an amazing Market Basket of goodies! There’ll be a Kid’s Art Corner where we’ll be making butter and doing other fun stuff! This will be run the Mompreneurs. Try some samples of our seasonal fruit and veg with dips from Jentree Whole Foods, yum! Come on out and see for yourself, and maybe do a little shopping while you’re here! Thank you to everyone for all your support over these past 20 years. We wouldn’t be here without you!

If you’d like to support the Market, put a sign on your lawn! Just use the Contact Us link or call the DGBIA 905-873-4970 and we’d love to get one to you! Share your Market love, let everyone know!

2013 forms are available now Forms have changed this year. Please review carefully before submitting.

Buskers welcome! The Market is looking for musical (or other) entertainment to delight the market patrons. If interested, please contact the BIA for details and scheduling. There will be a form and space allocation for buskers this year as there were many wonderful musicians last year and only so many spaces to perform. We thank you for your co-operation and understanding.

Meet your friends and chat over a coffee, or introduce your kids to the farmers who grow the foods you eat! Stroll through our beautiful, historic streets and visit some of the shops and services that you’re too busy to enjoy during the week. You’ll have fun connecting with your community and you’ll feel great knowing that your local grower has harvested the foods you’re feeding your family. Not only is it a healthy choice, but you are supporting your local farmers, too!

Please note, friendly family pets are welcome, but must be leashed and kept back from the food and vendors in order to address any health and safety issues. Thank you for your understanding!

Farmers Market Fruit Just imagine the fresh, juicy red strawberries or field-ripened tomatoes picked that morning and being served on your dinner table tonight! Along with the incredible selection of farm-fresh, never-refrigerated, warm-from-the-fields Ontario produce, remember all the delicious extras the Farmers’ Market has to offer. Just some of the items you can expect to find are local seasonal fruit and vegetables, local honey, syrup and jams, deli meat items, hand-made botanical soaps and lotions, artisans, flowers and plants. Every week we also feature talented crafters and local community groups that appeal to a wide variety of interests. Gift Certificates now available!

Farmers Market Veg We’d love to hear from you. If there is a grower or crafter you would like to see in our Market, or if you have a community-based organization that’s looking for a place to do some fundraising, please use the Contact Us link or give us a call at the DGBIA at 905-873-4970. Or check out our facebook page under Georgetown Farmers’ Market!

Meet Kim Falls, Downtown Georgetown's Farmers' Market Manager! Our Market Manager, Kim Falls, will be back on the street this summer! She’ll most likely have her little side kick with her too! The Assisstant to the Market Manager, Randy Potter will still be here too, don’t worry.

Remember that parking is free Downtown. Look for the new parking lot at Mill and Edith Street! Come on down to the market for a great morning of fresh tastes and smells, great selection, and most of all, fun. See you at the market in June!
